$7.7 Million Contract Awarded to Build Delaware Avenue Bikeway in Newark

1)BikeNewark and Bike Delaware have been advocating for this project since 2014!
2) It’s a safe, low stress and carefully engineered bikeway that extends all the way across the center of Newark (and through the University of Delaware campus) from east to west!)
3) The project will include the first bicycle signals in the state of Delaware at the signalized intersections along the route! (Bicycle traffic will get its own signal phases.)
4) It’s a more than $7 million (!) project.
After seven years since we started advocating for this, can we just say how ecstatic 
we are about this?
