America’s top engineering experts on cycling will be in Delaware on May 3
Effective Advocacy ≠ Complaining
One of the most common misconceptions about advocacy is that advocacy and complaining are related. That is largely wrong. Instead:
Effective Advocacy = Solutions
If you want to be an effective advocate for more and better cycling in your community, you can do so by being someone who can bring practical and cost-effective solutions to the table. And you can learn about those solutions – solutions that have already been shown to work in other places! – by attending the 2018 Walkable Bikeable Delaware Summit, which will feature America’s leading engineering experts on cycling who will be in Delaware for only one day!
Presented by AARP Delaware and hosted by the American Heart Association, Bike Delaware, the Delaware Department of Transportation, the Delaware Office of Highway Safety, the DHSS Division of Public Health, the Federal Highway Administration and Nemours, the Summit will take place on May 3 in Dover. If you have already registered (or are a reporter) and have any event-related questions, please email wbd@bikede.org.
